The Kanata Art Club typically meets on the second Thursday afternoon of each month (except for July and August). Note that meeting times may vary, depending upon the availability of our guest speakers. KAC members will receive a Flash Notice of the time, place and theme of each meeting. The meetings begin with Kanata Art Club business followed by announcements of events, shows and activities.
The highlight of each meeting is a guest speaker from the Arts community, sharing their expertise and their personal artistic journey. On the second Thursday of December, we celebrate the end of the year with an informal get together.
The meetings are held at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1817 Richardson Side Road.

Denise Guillemette graduated with a degree in architecture in 1980. She went on to complete a bachelor's degree in Visual Arts in 1985 followed by an MBA in 1995. She subsequently worked in the fields of architecture, graphic design and marketing.
Denise's life-long passion for expressionist painting grew out of her love of the Bellechasse countryside. Her work in oil is, most often, a tribute to the happy memories of her childhood.
"Life and light represent for me constant sources of wonder. . . I like to show my characters in action and I take special care in illustrating the movement and energy that inhabit them."
Denise has received many awards of excellence from solo and group exhibitions in both Ontario and Quebec. She is also very involved in the arts community, serving on various committees for arts organizations. She also offers workshops and art retreats.
