Painting the Ontario Landscape (In Your Degree of Abstraction) with Andrew Cheddie Sookrah

Renowned Canadian artists from Tom Thompson to Robert Genn, Wendy Birmingham, Monica Burnside and Ryan Sobkovich, have all represented the Ontario landscape in their own unique voice.  In this two day intensive workshop, Andrew Sookrah will help you to refine and strengthen your own personal style, working in the medium of your choice.

He will demonstrate painting rocks, trees, skies, water and everything in between, in acrylic and watercolour.  Weather permitting, we will be outside for at least part of the workshop.  There will be a brief presentation on drawing techniques, perspective, composition, colour, texture, use of material, and brushstrokes, as well as the different approaches needed when working in studio or en plein air.  However, most of the time, you will be painting, with plenty of guidance and support from Andrew.
