Painting Tom Thomson: A Colourist’s Legacy
Learn much about the application of twentieth-century colour theory through a Canadian passionate about painting. Thomson’s approach can be used for realistic subject matter and equally as a method for abstraction of the image or pure abstraction. Using Thomson’s colours, you will paint with vibrancy and life in the style of your choice. Through his use of coloured grounds, simplified shapes and textured brushwork, you will learn to design through flat shape in one large and several small paintings. Oil (no solvent) or acrylic. All levels.
