Painting Impressionism: Colour as Light and Air
Learn how to apply the beautiful energetic brushwork and glorious handling of prismatic colour to capture the ephemeral effects of light through Andrea's demos and in illustrated presentations each day on Turner, Whistler, Renoir, and Monet. Learn how Impressionist current knowledge of the physics of light and the science of optics changed their pigment choices and their paintings.
In this workshop, learn how to apply this new understanding of colour as the capture and transmission of light in spontaneous dashingly executed paintings. You will paint both mornings with a shared review and discussion of all works on Sunday.
Choice of medium: oil (no solvent), acrylic, watercolour, pastel. All levels.
Andrea is looking forward to working with you.
