Supply List

During this 6-week class, Danielle will explain and demonstrate step-by-step how to layer colours and values to achieve realism in your paintings of fabric, including a quilt. In addition she will share tips on many topics related to watercolour, such as composition, materials, and other techniques that she uses when painting different subjects.

Danielle will teach you a systematic approach to painting the subject matter, laying important foundational skills that you build upon as you become more proficient at painting fruits and other subjects. For two hours each week, you will receive advice on the necessary steps for each painting.  Then all participants will paint along to apply the demonstrated techniques.  The focus will be on interactive and individualized instruction. You will be encouraged to ask questions throughout.

Between classes, you may send photos of either in-progress or completed paintings to Danielle for a private critique or advice to take your painting to the next stage.  You will have a bit of “homework” each week.

If you can't attend the live class, don't worry.  All the files and recordings will be available to you after each class.

You will complete 3 paintings during this 6-week class.

You will need to download the ZOOM app.  There is an online tutorial available at: support.zoom.us.
