INDEPENDENT STUDY WITH DONATA SZAFIAN

 

Donata Szafian is a classically trained artist with a BFA from Janus Pannonius University, also a BA and MA from the Hungarian University of Applied Arts in Budapest.

The Kanata Art Club is offering two intensive seven week independent study courses with accomplished artist Donata Szafian.     

Portraiture:

Enhance your understanding of facial features and the proportions of the human head.  Donata will mentor each student, as they work through a study of their own choosing, in graphite or oils. Bring a photo reference.

Dates: Mondays, January 13 to March 2nd (no class on February 17th, Family Day). 

Time: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Fee:  Members: $265.  Non-members: $285.00

 

Landscapes, Still Life, and Figurative Work

Strengthen your ability to use line, shadow, value, tone, rendering and perspective to complete an advanced study in graphite or oil.  

Dates: Wednesdays, January 15th to February 26th.

Time: 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Fees: Members: $265.00. Non-members: $285.00

 

Note: In the event of inclement weather and the cancellation of a class, it will be rescheduled.

 

  

 

To register, email: registrar@kac1.ca.  In your email, indicate how you intend to pay: by interac e-transfer, or by cheque.  The registrar will advise you if a spot is available, and if yes, invite you to pay.

Registration is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.  Fees must be paid in full at the time of registration.

Kanata Art Club reserves the right to cancel a class where there is insufficient registration.  You will be notified and issued a cheque for a full refund.  

To withdraw prior to the start date, please contact the registrar@kac1.ca.  A cheque for a full refund less an administrative fee of $15.00 will be issued if a written request is received no less than 48 hours prior to the start of the first class.  There will be no refund issued beyond that date.
