Winter in Watercolour with Brian Turner
Frosted windows, snowflakes, and frozen winter mornings are just around the corner. Join Brian this January as he challenges you to interpret the many faces of winter in watercolour.
Each week, as we explore a different theme, Brian will discuss a variety of possible techniques and introduce you to the different thematic interpretations of well known watercolour artists from around the globe.
Brian will help you jump start your weekly assignment with a demo of his own approach. Later, you will have an opportunity to forward a photo of your work (or work in progress) to Brian in advance of the next class for group critique.
Brian studied Fine Arts at Okanagan College and Brigham Young University. He is an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists and of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour.

The Tuesday class will focus on the building blocks of a good painting: basic washes and watercolour techniques, drawing, perspective, colour, composition, and contrast; ideal for those students relatively new to watercolour, and those looking to review the basics.
The Wednesday class is intended for students who have previously worked with Brian; who want to master some sophisticated techniques and enjoy the challenges of more complex subject matter.
In order to ensure a quality learning experience for everyone, registration will be limited. To participate in class, you will need to download the free ZOOM app. There is an on-line tutorial available with instructions on how to download and use ZOOM at zoom.us/download.
