Danielles Supply List

Watercolors can be vibrant and translucent.  Marbles are a perfect subject for this medium! Learn techniques and approaches for painting glass marbles.  Looking at light, color and contrast, Danielle will guide you through the process, step-by-step.

In this class, Danielle will introduce you to getting clean colours in your artwork. Participants will learn glazing techniques and color theory to paint beautiful colours.  Learning values and the use of subtle color and nuances will allow participants to paint round marbles. Danielle will share her method for noticing small details, choosing colours and painting techniques.

For two hours each week, you will receive advice on the necessary steps for each painting involving marbles. All participants will then paint along to apply the demonstrated techniques that can be reapplied to other types of glass. The focus will be on interactive and individualized instruction, and you will be encouraged to ask questions throughout.

Between classes, you may send photos of either in-progress or completed paintings to Danielle for a private critique or advice to take your painting to the next stage.  You will have a bit of “homework” each week.

If you cannot attend any of the live classes, don't worry.  All the presentations and recordings will be available to you after each class.  You will have lifetime access.

You will be painting 3 projects with each being more progressively challenging during this 6-week class.  Participants are more than welcome to paint from their own photos.

Painting experience is desirable.
