Welcome to the Kanata Art Club
The Kanata Art Club is a registered not-for-profit volunteer administered organization created to inspire and support member artists at all levels, by expanding their artistic knowledge and skills. We invite you to explore this web site and discover how we accomplish our mission through:
- Studios and classes;
- Exhibitions and sales;
- Meetings with guest presenters; and
- More, with a focus on fun, friendship and art.
Denise Guillemette was our speaker at the March 12th meeting.
IMPORTANT: MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT March 13, 2020
I know that you will have been following the breaking news about the COVID virus pandemic, and you will have heard the advice of health professionals. Consistent with that advice, we have decided to shut down all of the Club’s activities until further notice.
We are cancelling the general meetings in April and May. We are postponing the Annual General Meeting scheduled for April to a future date, to be determined.
We are cancelling the Linda Kemp, Brian Smith, Andrew Cheddie Sookrah, and Fabio Cembranelli workshops.
We are cancelling the remainder of the classes in Brian Turner’s class: Watercolour on the Farm.
We are cancelling the spring sessions of the life drawing and portrait studios, and the spring sessions of Donata Szafian and Kathy McNenly classes.
Those of you who are registered in any of the affected studios, classes and workshops will receive a full or partial refund, as appropriate. Please be patient in this regard, as it will take a while to process them.
If any of the other scheduled events are affected, those of you who are registered will be advised.
You’ll receive further information and updates as appropriate.
